Sevvai dosham on both sides: whether it cancels
The one question every family asks next: if both sides carry Sevvai dosham, does it cancel? The rule is old and the texts answer it plainly, and this reads it against both charts — after each chart's own fourteen classical exceptions have already been applied, so a pair is never told their doshams cancel when one of the two was never standing. Four outcomes and only one of them is a cancellation. It adds nothing to a porutham score, offers no remedy, and does not re-raise a one-sided dosham that the Sevvai report has already explained. Your baby's name letters, from the birth star
The syllable the classical rule gives, from the pada the Moon actually stood in. Not the nine letters a rasi table prints, which is the answer most families already have. A pada is three degrees twenty minutes and the Moon crosses one in about six hours, so two children born the same morning under the same star can take different letters, and only a cast chart tells them apart. The Devanagari is printed beside the English because the English loses information: a hundred and eight padas make only ninety-six distinct spellings in English letters. It does not suggest names and it does not score them — no text ranks names, and a number attached to a child's name is one somebody invented. It prints the clock times the Moon held that pada, and the letters on either side, so a family can see how near the birth fell to the next letter.

The dates are computed on the Thirukanitha reckoning and the document says so at the top, not in an appendix, because a great many temples follow Vakya and a family should learn that before the hall is paid for.

This is the number that makes a transit personal — Saturn crossing a sign where you hold one point and a sign where you hold seven are different events, and every column that reads a transit without it is telling a twelfth of the country the same thing.
